We are looking for an Events Manager to join our growing headquarters development team, with a core focus on our flagship Solarthon events at each of our offices. Solarthon is a unique solar block party and fundraiser where GRID Alternatives installs several solar electric systems in one day with teams of corporate sponsors, individual fundraisers, local job trainees, and the homeowners themselves. In 2012 we are hosting seven Solarthon events throughout California, staggered throughout the year, with over 1,000 total participants installing solar power for 70+ families.
The Rain Garden Program Manager is a full-time member of the Stewardship Partners team reporting to the Executive Director. The Program Manager is responsible and accountable for managing the 12,000 Rain Garden Campaign and supporting the other programs of Stewardship Partners. S/he manages the program operations including grant reporting, communications and outreach, partner coordination and cultivation, installations, event planning, and maintenance and monitoring of existing sites.
As a full-time Leadership Development Director (LDD) for the Metrocenter YMCA Earth Service Corps program, you will be responsible to guide and direct all aspects of the YMCA Earth Service Corps program. YMCA Earth Service Corps (YESC) is an environmentally based, service learning and youth leadership program for high school and middle school students. Cooking Matters Seattle is a program of Solid Ground in partnership with Share Our Strength (SOS), a national anti-hunger organization. The program teaches healthy cooking, nutrition, and food budgeting to people living on low-incomes. Annually, over 52 six-week classes are developed and taught by Cooking Matters staff, volunteer chefs and nutrition educators. YouthCare serves homeless and street-involved youth in Seattle, Washington and operates seven housing programs in addition to the Orion Center. The Orion Center is unique in its range of services, providing basic needs such as food and showers as well as case management, a GED program, high school completion, post-secondary educational support, and employment support among others.
